Challenge
REVIVER Ministries began with a strong sense of mission but little of the infrastructure needed to communicate it. The founder knew who he wanted to serve and why the work mattered, but there was no established brand, messaging framework, visual identity, or digital presence—and no clear roadmap for turning the vision into something people could understand and engage with.
The challenge wasn't simply to design a website. It was to help clarify the organization itself: who REVIVER serves, what it offers, how it speaks about addiction and recovery, and how men, families, donors, and ministry partners should experience the brand.
Clarifying the Story
I worked closely with the founder to turn an evolving vision into a clear communication framework. Together, we developed and refined the language around REVIVER's mission, vision, values, services, and audiences, testing the messaging repeatedly for clarity, emotional resonance, and authenticity.
The site architecture grew directly from that work. Rather than organizing the experience around internal ministry structure, we created distinct pathways for three primary audiences: men looking for help, families affected by addiction, and partners wanting to support the mission.
Building the Brand
With the organization’s story becoming clearer, I translated it into a visual identity designed to feel hopeful without becoming polished or sentimental, and serious without feeling institutional.
I developed the identity, typography, and color system around the emotional territory of struggle, freedom, restoration, and new life—creating a consistent visual foundation that felt authentic to the mission while leaving room for the organization to grow.
Designing the Experience
The site architecture was built around a simple question: What does this person need from REVIVER right now?
Rather than organizing the experience around the organization itself, I created distinct pathways for three audiences—people seeking help, family and friends looking for guidance, and supporters wanting to contribute. Each path was designed to reduce friction and make the next step clear.
I chose Squarespace intentionally. As an early-stage organization, REVIVER needed a platform the founder could manage without relying on a developer for every update. The site was also structured around foundational SEO principles to help the organization build visibility as it grows.
Creating the Visual World
With no existing photography library, the site needed imagery that could establish both the emotional tone and visual consistency of the new brand. I art directed a series of AI-assisted images around specific moments in the audience journey, favoring honest, restrained scenes of struggle, reflection, relationship, and hope over generic recovery or faith imagery.
AI also supported rapid exploration across messaging, identity, prototyping, and imagery throughout the engagement. Its value wasn't simply speed; it allowed us to explore more possibilities while keeping the founder and me focused on the decisions that mattered most—what REVIVER needed to say, how it needed to feel, and what would help someone take the next step.
Impact
REVIVER launched with more than a website. It launched with a coherent foundation for communicating who it is, who it serves, and how people can engage.
The final experience connects mission, messaging, visual identity, audience pathways, services, giving, and search strategy into a single system—giving an early-stage organization the clarity and creative foundation to begin building awareness, trust, and community.
What began as a founder’s vision became a brand and digital experience people could understand, navigate, and act on.
